APEL PENTRU PUBLICARE
Revista East European Journal of Diplomatic History și-a propus, de la început, lansarea în dezbatere științifică a unor teme ținând de istoria diplomatică a Europei de Est. Editorii intenționează publicarea de studii, articole, recenzii și note bibliografice, dar și documente diplomatice inedite, încadrate într-unul dinre cele trei mari paliere tematice: Politica internatională în Europa Răsăriteană; Organizații, diplomație și alianțe europene; Mass Media, propaganda și afacerile externe. Accentul cercetărilor va cădea preponderent asupra descifrării tendințelor politicii externe, cu interes vădit asupra evoluțiilor Europei de Răsărit în strategiile Europei Centrale sau Occidentale. Editorii exprimă la fel de intens și interesul față de poziționarea țărilor Europei de Est în contextul rivalităților globale, generate de dinamica războaielor din secolul XX, atitudinile exprimate în postcomunism și integrarea europeană. Publicația se adresează istoricilor, dar rămâne declarat deschisă și pentru cercetători din câmpuri variate de cunoaștere, care caută răspunsuri în documentele istoriei diplomatice.
Condițiile tehnice de publicare:
Textele trimise redacției nu trebuie să mai fi fost publicate. Contribuțiile autorilor (redactate cu diacritice) vor fi trimise în format Word, font Times New Roman, corp de literă 12 pentru text, 10 pentru notele de subsol, la o distanţă între rânduri de 1.5. Eventualele materiale auxiliare (fotografii, hărţi, etc.) vor fi expediate în format JPG, 300 dpi; autorii își vor asuma răspunderea în privința achiziționării licenței de copy right.
Studiile nu trebuie să depăşească, pe cât posibil, 15 000 de cuvinte, respectiv 85 000 de semne (fără spaţii) (circa 30 de pagini format A4). În cazul studiilor mai mari, redacţia poate recurge la publicarea lor în două sau trei părţi. Studiile vor fi însoţite de un rezumat în limba română, cât şi în limba engleză (ori franceză, germană); lungimea rezumatului poate varia între 400 şi 800 de cuvinte. Titlul studiului va fi tradus în limba engleză, precum şi 5-10 cuvinte cheie care privesc conţinutul textului. Notele vor fi trecute în subsolul paginii (footnote), cu numerotare automată, respectând stilul de citare Chicago (http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/TeachingLib/Guides/Internet/Style.html).
Recenziile nu vor depăşi 3 000 de cuvinte, respectiv 22 000 de semne (fără spaţii) (circa 6 pagini în format A4); notele bibliografice nu vor depăşi 1 500 de cuvinte, respectiv 11 000 de semne (fără spaţii) (circa 3 pagini format A4).
Autorii vor putea trimite o nota autobiografică (200-250 de cuvinte), care va conţine prenumele şi numele, afilierea instituţională, domenii de interes, publicaţii recente (trei lucrări apărute în ultimii 5-6 ani). Colegiul Editorial își rezervă drepul de a publica sau respinge textele primite de la referenți și de a sugera colaboratorilor schimbările considerate necesare.

CALL for PAPERS
From the beginning, the East European Journal of Diplomatic History set out to launch a scientific debate on topics related to the diplomatic history of Eastern Europe. The editors intend to publish studies, articles, book reviews, bibliographical notes but also unpublished diplomatic documents, circumscribed to one of the three main thematic directions: International Politics in Eastern Europe; Organizations, Diplomacy and European Alliances; Mass Media, Propaganda and External Affairs. The accent of the researches will fall, predominantly, on deciphering the tendencies of the foreign politics, with obvious interest in the evolutions of Eastern Europe in the strategies of Central or Western Europe. The editors express an equally strong interest towards the positioning of East Europe countries in the context of global rivalries, generated by the dynamics of the wars from the twentieth century, the attitudes expressed in post communism and European integration. The publication is addressed to historians, but remains open for researchers from various fields of knowledge, who seek answers in the documents of diplomatic history.
Terms of publication:
The paper must be unpublished work. The paper (including diacritics) should be sent to the editorial staff in Word, font Times New Roman, font size 12 for text and 10 for footnotes, at 1.5 interline. Any additional materials (e.g., photos) should be sent as JPG, 300 dpi; the author assumes responsibility for the right to publish the images.
Studies should not exceed, if possible, 15 000 words, respectively 85 000 characters (without spaces); (the maximum length for the articles is 30 pages). The editorial staff will decide whether to publish larger studies in two or three parts. Articles will include a summary in Romanian as well as in English (or French, German), between 400 and 800 words in length. The article’s title will be translated in English, along with 5 to 10 keywords describing the content. Notes are to appear at the bottom of the page (as footnotes), with automatic numbering.
Book reviews should not exceed 3 000 words, respectively 22 000 characters (without spaces) (about 6 A4 pages); the bibliographical notes should not exceed 1 500 words, respectively 11 000 characters (without spaces) (about 3 A4 pages).
Authors will send a short bio (between 200-250 words) with the following content: first and last name, institutional affiliation, research areas, recent publications (1-3 titles published in the last 5-6 years). The journal`s editorial board reserves the right that upon the review by referents to publish or reject any of the received papers and to suggest any the collaborators changes that may be considered as necessary.
